Yesterday, late at night, I was going through my bookshelf when I got hold of a book called 366 & more nature stories. The book is thick and heavy which my father bought for me during my primary school days. The book still look good after many years. No tore pages, no fading colors and the words are readable. Its is a beautiful children book about nature, animal and season and it remained me of my wonderful childhood days. Flipping through the pages, I found not one but two short stories about crabs.(actually there’s 3 but I lyke the 2 stories da most). My horoscope is cancer and its symbol is crab. I always though that crab was a weak and boring sea creature but I was wrong after I read the stories. Now my perspective of crab has changed. Read below and you will understand why.

Title:A painful encounter in the sand.
A crab is moving about its territory:damp sand dunes shaped by the wind, and peaceful, little pools of salt water. Then there are the algae spread along the shoreline, and lots of shells scattered all around. Away in the distance, the sea is sighing.
The crab advances, quite fast, using its five pairs of claws: the outermost ones, the largest, look like lager pliers.Nothing can resist this mighty weapon. The crab uses these claws mostly for feeding. With them it catches fish, worms and mollusc's of every type. Lined with sharp, needle-like points, nothing could be better then these, for gripping, crushing and opening!
All those who live on the edge of the sea must be warned. Beware of the crab! The same warning goes for the big toes of those bare feet which are moving about on the sand. They risk being grabbed by those claws, and that means a nasty pain for their unlucky owner!

Title:The crab’s crooked walk.
“What a strange way of walking,” says a mussel, watching a thick-shelled crab clumsily moving off on its daily hunting expedition.
“It’s not strange,” puts in another mussel. “Yes,the crab has crooked walk, but that’s just how it is. What’s wrong with that? Crabs don’t know how to walk straight, but still they get about everywhere. Look at us, my dear, we’re always stuck in the same place. I wish we could get about like our neighbour over there!”
